Lauren Rogers, Associate

Lauren's practice focuses on criminal trials and proceedings under the Motor Vehicle Act. She is a confident advocate who is in court on a regular basis.

Lauren understands that no matter the charge you face, it is incredibly overwhelming to be up against the seemingly limitless power of the State. Lauren believes fiercely in evening out this power imbalance by ensuring that her client's Charter rights are protected, possible defences get explored, and the other side of the story gets told. 

Lauren's top priority is always to obtain the best possible outcome for her client at the earliest stage in the proceedings. She recognizes that criminal proceedings have consequences on more than just your freedom. A criminal charge can impact your personal life, professional life, mental health, and reputation. For these reasons, Lauren takes a thorough and relentless approach to every file in order to limit the impact the charge has on your life.

Before joining Elevation Legal, Lauren graduated cum laude from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. She then articled at a prominent criminal defence firm in Toronto where she gained experience on all types of criminal files - from harassment, to sexual assault, to murder. Lauren then moved back home to Vancouver Island to establish her criminal defence practice here.
